Beyond The Space Wall is a modern take on the classic games Arkanoid and Breakout. The player faces the usual task of destroying all the colored bricks using a ball, which is bounced off a paddle moving left and right. Bricks drop power-ups that temporarily enhance the abilities of the paddle or the ball—for example, extending the paddle, activating thrusters for vertical movement, adding one or more machine guns for faster brick destruction, splitting the ball into multiple clones, and more.
The game features a total of 100 levels (walls) that the player progresses through against the backdrop of a story, gradually unlocking access to more challenging trials. Gold coins, which also drop from bricks, can be spent on upgrades that make the game easier (guided missiles, bombs, extra lives, automatic machine-gun turrets, etc.). In addition, the player increases their own level, earning talent points that can be used to further improve the paddle. The story is complemented by quests, which reward the player with experience points, extra talent points, or gold coins upon completion.
